Archways is a not-for-profit, privately-governed organization. It has provided a wide array of social services in Broward County (Greater Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood) since its incorporation in 1982. Archways' mission is "to provide quality comprehensive behavioral health care to individuals and families who are in need of improving their quality of life."
Adults with severe and persistent mental illness, or with co-occurring substance abuse and mental illness, are served in a clubhouse milieu with medication management, case management, psychosocial rehabilitation, individual therapy, supported housing, residential services at several levels, and supported employment services. Archways also provides substance abuse and violence prevention programs in collaboration with organizations around the county.
